অমত্‌সিয যখন প্রভুকে অনুসরণ করা বন্ধ করে দিলেন তখন জেরুশালেমের লোকেরা তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে চএান্ত করলো| অমত্‌সিয কোনোমতে লাখীশে পালিয়ে গেলেও লোকেরা সেখানে লোক পাঠিয়ে অমত্‌সিযকে হত্যা করল|
